[Imagination Club] Challege: more participation

I think discussion through email might be a problem. Many of users might
have registered with their secondary email address which they check only
twice or thrice a week. So, when they check it they email box is full of
many things and most of their goes into cleaning & reading. Majority of
time don't get time to reply in forum.

And people who have registered with their primary email address, might
have filtered the messages in separate folder (which is good thing though)
and will reply to message when they have nothing else to accomplish at the
moment.

Secondly many people post replies just in one or two line and without
giving little time in thinking because they think this is not serious. So,
in my opinion no good thinking process has gone for the challenge.

Thirdly many discussion ends without conclusion or without any recognition
to participants. Even when Jefferey posts a challenge, he never posts
conclusion message with recognition to contributors. May be you are
concluding because you wish to keep it open? But, may be we can reopen
after sometime.

Probably for problem number one, we can't do much but for problem two and
three our fearless moderator sure can bring some discipline.

Thanks & Regards,
MD, Ahmedabad, India

[Imagination Club] Challege: more participation

I have a problem! The level of participation in the
imagination club has fallen over the past few weeks, even
though membership has increased slowly.

A month ago, a challenge would have resulted in at least a
half dozen ideas from a half dozen people. Now, most
challenges get just one or two responses.

So, today's challenge is simple: how can I encourage you
and the other 100 or so members to participate more in the
imagination club?
