Thanks for the new challenge, Maulik. I don't know why
there have been so few suggestions.
Anyway, here are a couple of mine...
The next great inventions may include...
1) the possibility to upload your entire consciousness to
the Internet, thus allowing you to do away with your body
and live in virtual paradise for ever.
2) Electronic telepathy: our brains will be wired directly
to a computer connected to the Internet. When we want to
communicate with someone, we'll just think an e-mail and it
will be sent (the danger, of course, is when you are drunk
and a pretty girl/handsome boy passes by...). You will also
be able to Google information and have it downloaded
directly into your brain.
3) Household robots. Not very creative, but I think we'll
finally be seeing them soon.
4) Stem cell injections that regenerate lost or damaged
bits of your body.
5) Temporary marriage contracts. Soon, we'll realise that
marriage for life is on the way out. In a bid to rescue the
tradition of marriage, temporary marriage contracts will
become the norm.
6) The imagination club will surpass television, cinema and
electronic games as the world's most popular form of
entertainment!
All the best,
Jeffrey Baumgartner
