Dear Merrick

A plethora has been written about change issues, but only one researcher
that I can recall (guess her name is Wahdle from Victoria University in
Melbourne –Australia) that highlighted the many advantages of change
resisting; least of those, is forcing a consequent harassment for the minds
to put more solutions on the table.

I don't want to be judging that you are a resistor, but if you are, don't be
shy to start some discussions.
Business re-engineering or restricting cause power shifts constantly (which
to you maybe means more things to do instead on focusing on the big picture
as leadership role), change agents, can contribute by adopting the suggested
approach, or by creating another that they see themselves in clear fit, in
your case, you did not give enough ground to feel what is your take on your
new role, but am just assuming it will covers more breadths of your current
situation, if this is the case, again, try to outline, envision the new
situation, and see how do you fit there; at least by this you can back up
your position by new ideas not jus a feeling of maybe dissatisfaction.
