In what ways might we make our interactions with other departments
more effective/efficient?
What things could we re-use that we currently don't?
How might we avoid certain processes being repeated by others?
Where might subsidies (govt. or otherwise) be available? Who could
co-fund any of our activities?
What processes could we eliminate/amend that would make your job easier?

Subject: [Imagination Club] Creative Challenges for Economic Bad Times
Hello, Creative thinker!!!
YOU CHALLENGE:
What questions/challenges might managers put to their
employees in order to solicit creative cost cutting ideas?
EXAMPLES:
1) "In what ways might we reduce our electricity
consumption?"
2) "How might we cut costs in the delivery of products from
our factories to retailers?"
BACKGROUND:
We tend to think of business innovation as being about
exciting new products, new inventions and that kind of
thing. But another important aspect of business innovation
is improving the efficiency of internal processes,
production methods, logistics and consumption in order to
reduce costs.
Cutting costs is always important for businesses. But in an
economic slow-down or recession, keeping costs down becomes
critical.
NOTE:
I may put your best challenges/questions on our web site
(with credit to you, of course) as advice for business
managers. If I use your challenge, I will let you know.
I look forward to your challenge suggestions!
